Jill Hennessy
Her mixed heritage includes Irish and Italians as well as Swedish, Frenchs, and Ukrainians. The twin of Jacqueline is an actress too. While growing up, Jill became fluent in different languages such as Italian, French and Spanish. At twelve, she became interested in acting. She began her acting career in Toronto where she was an assistant for David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her sister. She then studied improv-comedy at Second City with Deb Kimmet. A few years later, she went to New York and signed a contract for the role of the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the long popular hit series Law & Order. The actress also appeared in films like RoboCop 3 (1998), Ron Howard's The Paper (2000) and I Shot Andy Warhol 1996) during her three-year run. She was a part of a handful of uninteresting films in the next several years before securing her a leading role in 1999's miniseries uremberg with Alec Baldwin. Roles in major productions like Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. She landed a lead role in the NBC crime show Crossing Jordan. And in 2007 for her work to the series she was honored with a Gracie Allen as the "Outstanding Female Actor in a Drama Series". Her husband was another actor Paolo Mastropietro in 2000. The couple has two children. The couple was recognized on Canada's Walk of Fame in 2007.
