Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden is the third of the five siblings born to La Jolla on 14 August 1959. She was the daughter of Beverly (Bushfield) she was a housewife, while her father, Thad Harold Harden, served in the military. Her family often relocated. While they were in Greece She became interested in theater, and she attended Athens performances. Harden began her college education at American colleges in Europe before returning to the US for her final education in the University of Texas in 1983 and then earned an MFA at NYU after which she, embarked on her career as an actor. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers hilarious satirical tribute of the gangster film from 1990, Miller's Crossing. Although she had been in film as early as 1986 (in the less well-known The Imagemaker), she performed a romantic female lead in her first role in the mainstream. Harden's sultry portrayal of Verna as a mysterious, beautiful moll, earned her rave reviews. Harden then worked in supporting parts. Her role was Ava Gardner, a TV biopic of Frank Sinatra.
