Awkwafina
Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and musician who made her name with innovative raps which addressed sexuality and racial identities with the most comical of perspectives. Then she branched out to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop training began as she was a teenager. In college, she studied journalism and women's studies. In addition, she spent an hour studying Mandarin during her time in Beijing. After graduating, she began to focus on music. Following her viral success through the Internet, her track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also included popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown New York Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide published in the year 2015, and was an additional initiative. The resume of her included musicians and an author. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. Alongside early shows such as Girl Code, Tawk and Bad Rap she also appeared in movies such as Neighbors and Storks. In 2018, she scored her first major role in a number of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June she dropped her EP "In Fina We Trust".
